2 boxes of 24 colored crayola crayons (please not the 48 box)
2 glue sticks
1 bottle of white glue
1 adult t-shirt for painting (please write child’s name on it)

1 box of washable colored markers (8 count or more)

2 large boxes of Kleenex
We will have snack everyday so please provide a juice and a small snack.

4-8 Grades Supply List
Supply List for English Class
Pens – Lots of them! Preferably blue or black. NO RED! Other colored pens are allowed on homework and classwork, but they must be darker colors (No yellow, light orange, light pink, etc.). If I can’t read it, I won’t accept it. I suggest getting erasable pens if possible.
Pencils – Lots of them! #2 lead
Pencil sharpener
Pencil box or case (to be brought to class every day. No excuses for being unprepared.)

English folder - This is for ENGLISH papers and homework only
One 2 inch binder with five dividers (#1 for homework, #2 for Spelling, #3 for Vocabulary , #4 for notes, #5 for tests)
One Marble Composition Notebook (For Journal. You MUST have this during the first week of school.)
Loose leaf paper - Lots of it! Keep extra paper in your binder at all times!
3-hole hole puncher to be kept in binder.
Highlighter - any color
Dictionary - This is a must! You need this to do weekly Spelling homework. No excuses.

SUMMER READING ASSIGNMENT
Over the summer, you will be assigned a book to read before school starts in September.
YOU WILL BE TESTED ON THE BOOK DURING THE FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL!
1. Write down the title and the author of the book
2. Write a sentence about each main character
3. Write a sentence about each minor character
4. Chapter Summaries - After you finish a chapter, write a brief summary about what happened in the chapter.
5. What is the conflict or problem of the story and how was it solved?
6. What was your favorite and least favorite part of the book?
